He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

2024/2025 Confirmation
Confirmation is a two-year learning ministry for our 7th and 8th grade youth.
The purpose of Confirmation is two-fold:
-
To help our young people prepare themselves for a public affirmation
of the faith into which they were baptized. (Confirmation of Baptism) -
To prepare our young people for a life of following Jesus Christ.
-
You will be given "The Lutheran Study Bible" with cover.
(This will be your Bible for the rest of your life!)
2025 – 2026 Schedule:
The dates for Confirmation Classes vary. The calendar can be found by selecting the church logo above. Please take a look at the schedule and write the dates down on your calendar. You can also put the schedule into your phones.

Class Cancellation: There will be no Confirmation Classes if the school closes due to weather. If a student of another school district, the student will follow that school's schedule.
Requirements:
Attendance: The students will attend all classes unless there is an absolutely good reason why they can’t make it. They should notify the pastor beforehand if they can’t attend. We live in a very busy world and there will be times that your family may be absent so the plan this year is this: If a student misses a class, they will be required to complete all of the work that was scheduled for the day absent. This work will need to be done before the next class.
Sermon Notes: Students will attend church regularly, listen carefully to the sermons, and write notes and comments on what they heard in the sermon. These will be turned in to the pastor who keeps a record.
20 sermon notes are required for each year of confirmation.
Bible Reading Questions: Each of the Confirmands will be asked to faithfully read the Bible and to fill out the “Bible Reading Questions” sheets.
These will be handed out on the first day of class. As their parent, check the student's work that their answers are complete and thoughtful.
Parents will sign the bottom of the "BRQ" assigned page and make sure that the student brings the sheet to class.
Class Assignments: We will be using the book "Growing in Grace" for classwork and assignments. The student will be provided with this book as well as a Catechism.

During Class:
We'll visit a bit, take a quiz on the Catechism Memory work, review your Bible Reading Questions, work through the lesson, and assess the student's progress.
